RECITALS

NMA holds two general recitals every year, usually in the summer and the winter at the end of each school semester. All levels (even beginners!) are strongly encouraged to participate!

 

Once per year, an Honors Recital is also held.  This recital is intended as a reward performance for our intermediate/advanced students who show exceptional dedication and promise! An audition is required to participate in this recital, as space is limited and the opportunity is competitive based on merit.

Occasionally throughout the year, teachers will also organize their own studio recitals to help build their students' confidence and experience with performing in preparation for other events, as well as just to have fun with music and with other members of the community!

Our students have performed both in local churches and libraries through our recital program, as well as professional venues throughout the city, such as the Chicago Cultural Center and the Pianoforte Recital Hall!
