Peter L • Piano Instructor

As a young child, Peter fell in love with the sounds of the piano, and began taking lessons at the age of 4. He quickly discovered a passion for music and decided to explore different instruments, eventually picking up the erhu at 8. He received a comprehensive musical education, studying both in public school and at YAMAHA Music School with Suzuki music lessons.

Peter's dedication to his craft led him to pursue a master's degree in piano performance from Roosevelt University, studying under the tutelage of Professor Adam Neiman. During his studies, Peter also honed his skills as a composer, developing a unique voice and style that reflects his diverse musical influences.

In addition to his accomplishments as a performer and composer, Peter has over 10 years of teaching experience, helping students of all ages and skill levels to explore their own musical passions. He also holds a bachelor's degree in science, which gives him a unique perspective on the intersection of music and science.

Peter is a warm and patient teacher, committed to creating a supportive and encouraging environment that allows his students to flourish. He believes that music is a powerful tool for personal expression and growth, and encourages his students to integrate their life experiences and emotions into their playing.

With a focus on developing strong technique and musicality, Peter helps his students to build a solid foundation that will serve them well throughout their musical journey. He also encourages his students to record their lessons and practice sessions, providing valuable feedback and support to help them achieve their goals.
