Paul holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in piano performance from Chicago College of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University, where he studied with Dr. Ludmila Lazar and artist-in-residence Pawel Checinski; while at Roosevelt, he studied piano pedagogy under composer Bruce Berr; Helen Greenhalgh of Park Forest was his long-term mentor.

As an instructor, Paul is honored to share his musical knowledge with his students and gears each lesson toward the individual student’s unique needs. Parents are encouraged to participate in the lesson, where Suzuki-style rote work is merged with a traditional note-reading approach. A variety of musical styles are explored, and rhythmic movement is part of the experience. Students are guided to grow into independent musicians and develop excellent listening skills from an early age. Paul’s students have participated in the National Guild of Piano Playing Auditions, played at other competitions and festivals, and have consistently received superior ratings.
