Jordan M • Piano Instructor
Jordan lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and is organist at Grace United Methodist Church in Lake Bluff, Illinois. He is also the Vice President and co-founder of One Gift Celebration, a non-profit, which provides meaningful celebrations and gifts to rural communities abroad where resources might lack.
Jordan graduated from Wittenberg University in 2015, where he had studied piano with Christopher Durrenberger and organ with Trudy Faber. While at Wittenberg Jordan performed on many occasions including his senior recital, accompanying other instrumentalists, accompanying the Wittenberg Choir, accompanying local schools, and playing for churches. While balancing work and study, Jordan was also performing regularly in assisted-livings throughout Ohio.
Jordan’s solo performances and recitals have taken place throughout the US and internationally. Internationally: Costa Rica in 2014, South Korea in 2018, Japan in 2018, Greece in 2019, Spain in 2019; Domestic: Carnegie Hall in 2014, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. in 2019, Wittenberg University guest artist in 2019, Family Piano in Illinois in 2019.
His teachers have included Aviram Reichert and Dahye Choi in Seoul, Korea, and other prominent pianists including: Olga Bornovalova, Tamas Ungar, Eri Nakagawa, Harold Martin, and Eugen Indjic. In addition to performing classical music, Jordan has accompanied and music-directed shows and musicals. Aside from music, Jordan’s interests include travelling, gardening, language exchange, reading, and cooking.
