John B • Piano Instructor

John B. is a Chicago native that started playing piano at the age of 9.  He finished his undergraduate degree in piano performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his Masters at Depaul university.  He has performed varying genres of music soloing with orchestras, avant-garde fusion bands, chamber groups, and in solo recitals all across the country.  In addition to playing classical music, he enjoys playing R&B, jazz, and latin jazz.

 

He has been teaching since 2017 and has experience teaching various genres of music.  He believes that all people should learn music so that they can be human, recognize beauty, and be sensitive.
