Joanna N • Violin/Viola Instructor

Violinist Joanna N. is an avid supporter of music education and is dedicated to helping students develop and refine their music. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in violin performance, where she studied with Mathias Tacke. Joanna has been teaching violin and viola actively since 2011. She has received certified Suzuki training and incorporates both traditional and Suzuki methods into her curriculum. She is on faculty at the Sforzando String Camp in Downers Grove, Illinois and has taught at MusiCamp, a pilot program for Rockford Public Schools hosted in partnership with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra and the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center.

Joanna has an active freelance performance career. She has performed as a guest soloist with several orchestras in the northern Illinois area and frequently gives solo and chamber recitals. She is currently a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
