Heather A • Early Childhood Music Educator
Heather, lyric soprano, is passionate about helping children and adults to sing with freedom and a high level of expression and artistry. She believes that music is meant to move people and is a beautiful way to communicate ideas and emotions. She loves helping singers to build confidence and have fun as they find their own unique voice. She is also highly experienced in providing music and movement classes for early childhood.
With both a BM and MM in vocal performance, Heather is classically trained and has sung with Nashville Opera Company as well Nashville Symphony chorus. Her operatic roles include the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Madame Lidoine in Dialogues des Carmelites, and Caterina from L’amico Fritz She also premiered the role of Sophia in Frederick Douglass-The Making of an American Prophet by Grammy award winning songwriter, Marcus Hummon. She has also sung with a local non-profit called Songs by Heart and is in the process of becoming a board-certified music therapist.
