Kate B. (stage name Loni) is a new music pianist and songwriter from Ukraine whose work marries contemporary classical piano performance with art pop production. An alumna of CalArts where she studied with new music pioneer Vicki Ray, Kate has premiered music by her colleagues and appeared on chamber and opera productions while blazing her own trail.

 

As a teacher, Kate attempts to meet her students where they are and do her best to help expand their musical horizon on their way to where they are going. She is happy to not only help with performance methods, but also with applying piano studies to one’s own creative practice vision–be it performance, composition, or production.
