David K. is a man of many talents. For twenty-five years, he was the owner and primary instructor at Studio K Music, a small group piano education facility in Geneva, IL. Over the years, he has mentored hundreds of youth and adults in piano and keyboard instruction. His secret to success has been helping kids and adults develop a love for piano and keyboard by keeping it fun and using popular music, as well as standard repertoire. Many of David’s former students have gone on to careers in music performance and education. 

Since 1986, David K. has established himself as a dedicated freelance musician, showcasing his talents as both a solo pianist and keyboard player with some of Chicago's premier event bands. His impressive roster of clients includes prominent organizations such as McDonald's Corporation, The Private Bank, Olson Rugs, the Catholic Diocese of Rockford, the Chicago Contract Roofers Association, CASA Kane County, and many others.

 

David frequently performs at the Women's Athletic Club of Chicago and collaborates with fellow musicians at renowned jazz venues like The Green Mill and Le Piano. As a versatile pianist, vocalist, and organist, he provides musical services for wedding ceremonies and receptions. His extensive network within the Chicago music scene connects him with seasoned professionals across various genres. He has also recorded with numerous artists and produced several CDs featuring holiday and relaxing solo piano music.

 

In addition to his performance career, David is the Musical Director at the Lutheran Church of St. Luke in Itasca, IL.
