Nicole Yi • Administrative Assistant

Nicole Yi, a Chicago native, received her Masters in Art Education from Boston University and a B.A. in Painting and Drawing from University of Oregon. She has over nine years of teaching experience as a lead, a co-lead, and an assistant teacher in various academic settings with Pre-K-12 students and adults in the U.S. and in South Korea. Some of her teaching experiences involved being a Drawing Instructor for a private art school, an Assistant Teacher at different Montessori school settings, and an English teacher in South Korea. In Korea, Ms. Yi taught elementary school students, grades 1-6, at various public schools and at a private English language academy located in a prestigious area known for TOEFL education.

Ms. Yi grew up taking piano and violin lessons as well as mandolin lessons for a short period, and in her spare time, she loves to draw and paint. She believes that music education and the arts play a pertinent role in developing a whole individual who is able to thrive and think creatively and outside-the-box in our ever-changing society. She is thrilled to join the team at Northside Music Academy.
