Chenyu Wang • Piano Instructor

Chenyu Wang received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester in 2015. She then completed her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University in 2017. She is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate in Piano Performance at Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford.

Miss Wang is a winner of many piano competitions, such as the Grand Prize of the American Prize in Piano Performance (2020), the First Prize of the New York Golden Classical Music Awards Competition (2020), the “Most Distinguished Artist” Award of the IBLA International Music Competition in Italy (2019), the Second Prize of the Bartok-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev Piano Competition (2019), and the Second Prize of The Muse International Piano Competition (2017). She has also performed in many famous music venues across the North America, Asia and Europe, such as the Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Kilbourn Hall in Rochester, NY, the Teatro Falcone Borsellino and San Vincenzo Ferreri Halls in Ibla, Italy.

Miss Wang has more than 10 years’ experience in piano teaching. Many of her students won national/international piano competitions. Miss Wang also served as a judge in piano competitions in the U.S. and China.
